Definitions
National Sport Organisation
The organisation recognised by government and the majority of playing participants as the national representative for that sport. May also be referred to as National Sport Governing Body.
Sport Organisation
Any Sport Organisation that is not national.
Board
The official group of people (directors) empowered through the constitution to govern and oversee the running of an organisation.
Director
A person who is on the board of directors of an organisation either by being elected or appointed to the board.
Chair
The person responsible for the leadership of the board.
Chief Executive
Top executive (usually paid) responsible for the organisation’s overall operations and performance who operates in accordance with the delegations and directions given by the Board. May also be referred to as General Manager, Managing Director, Secretary-General."
